Mrs. Krystle Pearson currently serves as the Director of Technology for Brunswick County Public Schools in Lawrenceville, Virginia. Mrs. Pearson earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Virginia State University and her Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Liberty University. With more than 15 years in education, she has served in the capacity of a classroom teacher, grade level team leader, school technology coach, instructional technology resource teacher (ITRT), and central office administrator.

As an innovative educator, Mrs. Pearson was recognized by the Virginia State University Office of Institutional Advancement for her efforts in transforming educational experiences for students as the VSU Alumna of the Month. In March 2021, she was recognized by the Southside Virginia Regional Technology Consortium (SVRTC) as the recipient of the Technology Leader of the Year presented by First Lady Pamela Northam. In addition, the Women Education Leaders in Virginia (WELV) recognized Mrs. Pearson as the Regional Leader of the Year. Mrs. Pearson is the Region 8 Board Representative for WELV and the SVRTC Committee Twitter Chair.

Her favorite quote comes from the inspiring words of George Courous who states, “Technology will never replace great teachers, but technology in the hands of great teachers can be transformational."
